ARTIST STATEMENT

Forbiddendog is an artist whose work consist primarily of performance art. She conjures live art, as daring as it is evocative, using her own body as a medium to express visual, sensual, and visceral commentaries on power, sexuality, transformation, and self-image.

Her art draws breath from the depths of her essence, offering a glimpse into the shadowed corners of society's norms. While not directly influenced by Cindy Sherman and Carolee Schneemann, Forbiddendog's artistic style embodies a similar approach to their work.

Her performance art began to take shape through creating, performing, and modelling subversive  life drawing shows—see portfolio. Over time, it grew to encompass film stills.

Forbiddendog’s mission is to delve into the truth via the medium of performance art, prompting individuals to ponder, encouraging them to explore new perspectives, and push boundaries by exploring uncharted areas of human experience.
